Why Epsom Salt Is Good For You

Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulphate, is a naturally occurring, pure mineral compound. Over decades, it has become known as a natural alternative and home remedy ingredient for many.

It is also the magic behind floatation – about 600 kilos are dissolved in each float pod, so that you float effortlessly regardless of your weight.

A natural health remedy

Soothe muscle aches, reduce inflammation, get relief from itchy sunburns, remove splinters, and more – just by soaking in an Epsom salt bath for at least 12 minutes.

“Muscle tension is a big reason people can’t sleep, and it’s often because their blood pressure is too high. The magnesium in Epsom salt helps improve blood flow and relax your muscles and extremities.” – Dr. Mao Shing Ni, an award-winning expert who has been featured in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, as well as television shows such as Doctor Oz.

A beauty hack

In crystal form, Epsom salt gently exfoliates skin and smoothens out rough patches. Try it as a facial wash, a hair volumizer, or use it to slough away dry skin by mixing it with olive or coconut oil.

A welcome visitor in your garden

Studies show that magnesium and sulphur may help plants grow greener and better. Magnesium helps seeds germinate, boosts chlorophyll production and improves phosphorus and nitrogen uptake. Sulphur helps the plants produce vitamins.

Try feeding your house plants monthly; just add two tablespoons Epsom salt per gallon of water.
